These images were taken on March 8 2008 The snow one came from David and Dawn who are spending some time in Dayton Ohio with Kevin,Nancy and family. The lower view a was taken by Gordon in the afternoon just after the wall had been painted. The Bouganvilla were cut down to a stump I plan to add another image when they grow back. I wonder how long that will take??

I've been (jokingly) saying that when I retire, I want to live where I don't need to own a shovel, let alone have to use one. A colleague told me of a friend who (after retirement) was going to fix a snow shovel to the hood of his car, and start driving west and south...not stopping until someone pointed at the shovel on the front of his vehicle and asked "What in the world is that thing on the front of your car?" On weekends like this one, my strong preference is for Phoenix. But let's revisit this mid-August.
When we left Kansas for Arizona I did sell the snow stuff. Have needed it here and haven't missed it a bit. Sure nice to air conditioning though.

should have said "have not needed it here"
Hey, I'm Tim, John & Marilyn's youngest child. I live in Cedar Rapids, Ia with my son, Logan (13yrs old, Brenda, her daughter and 2 dogs. I too have very fond memories of getting up in the wee hours and heading north for what seemed like an eternity. I usually stayed at either Uncle David or Uncle Rick's house. Had a great time at both. Although looking back now, was it a vacation or a summer job? Loved seeing everyone at Gradmas 100th. God Bless All.
